Public Sector Account Executive

As a Public Sector Account Executive at Cohesity, you will have the opportunity to work with an extraordinary team in a fast-paced industry. This role is crucial for driving our business forward by implementing sales strategies and exceeding revenue targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining accurate forecasts, and collaborating with channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a sales pipeline to move strategic transactions through the sales process.
  • Revenue Generation: Generate revenue by successfully selling the Cohesity solution and collaborating with Channel Partners.
  • Account Penetration: Consistently penetrate accounts, reach decision-makers, and close business.
  • Sales Planning: Define and implement sales plans for the assigned territory to meet and exceed quota through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Develop and present proposals to customers that showcase the Cohesity hyper-converged infrastructure solution's ability to meet their business objectives and establish its value.
  • Account Strategy: Drive account strategies and coordinate team selling efforts with partners to close business on a quarterly and annual basis.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales role proposing enterprise solutions at all levels of a customer organization.
  • Collaboration: Experience collaborating with customers and technology partners.
  • Tools Proficiency: Proficiency with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Office (mainly Excel), and other CRM tools.
  • Communication: Comfortable working with multiple decision-makers to drive proposals. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated and a self-starter, comfortable working remotely and autonomously.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed for the role.
  • Location & Language: Must be based in Germany and fluent in German.
  • Negotiation: Proven experience negotiating, proposing, and closing contracts with clients.
