Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of experience in a baker preparation position, demonstrating basic math and measuring skills, and exhibiting a strong work ethic, communication, and time management abilities. A post-secondary culinary program is highly preferred. Furthermore, candidates must be available to work onsite with an open, flexible schedule, often including evenings and weekends, with a strong preference for overnight shifts, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds, exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, and work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven, and commercial spiral mixer.

Responsibilities

The Bread Baker will be responsible for preparing delicious bread and focaccia in accordance with authentic Italian recipes, following proper proofing and baking techniques, maintaining a clean and sanitary food production area, and assisting Sales Associates as needed. They will also engage with guests interested in learning about the bread production process and performing other duties as required or assigned, reporting to the Bakery Manager.
