Requirements

  • BS in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a professional environment
  • Fundamental knowledge in turbo-machinery design, aerodynamics and thermodynamics
  • Proficiency with 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information

Responsibilities

  • Aerodynamically and thermodynamically design and analyze rotating and stationary components
  • Develop tools/workflows in simulation software for speeding up repetitive tasks
  • Create analytical tools to perform basic analysis
  • Work with structural and mechanical designers and manufacturing to develop the ultimate component
  • Guide the drawing requirements for the component’s tolerance
  • Form test procedures for determining performance of components
  • Communicate structural results and structural knowledge to the team
