BS in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of relevant experience in a professional environment
Fundamental knowledge in turbo-machinery design, aerodynamics and thermodynamics
Proficiency with 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information
Responsibilities
Aerodynamically and thermodynamically design and analyze rotating and stationary components
Develop tools/workflows in simulation software for speeding up repetitive tasks
Create analytical tools to perform basic analysis
Work with structural and mechanical designers and manufacturing to develop the ultimate component
Guide the drawing requirements for the component’s tolerance
Form test procedures for determining performance of components
Communicate structural results and structural knowledge to the team
