Responsibilities

Lead a team in all aspects of property tax analysis and appeals for Commercial Real Estate (CRE)
Support operations in the onboarding of new clients and filing of appeals as needed
Conduct in-depth evaluation of CRE properties across many geographies for appeal, identifying innovation and automation opportunities
Develop standard operating procedures for the Ownwell CRE department
Handle Informal, Formal, Arbitration, Litigation processes to achieve best results for clients
Train and enforce procedures with the team to deliver best-in-class results
Act as jurisdictional subject matter expert in managing all aspects of commercial property taxes and the appeal process
Communicate new issues, legislative changes, and training opportunities internally and to clients as needed
Hire, develop, and motivate a team of CRE-facing tax consultants
Empower a high-performing and responsible team demonstrating Ownwell’s values
Practice servant leadership, getting in the weeds, and doing the hard work with the team as a player-coach
Give timely performance feedback to team members and address/escalate performance issues
Work with sales and marketing to pitch, demonstrate, and collaborate
