Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 4+ years of experience in a technical and/or project management role
  • Project management qualification is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Open-mindedness and the ability to recognize good ideas
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and engineering experience in New Product Introduction and/or Product Transfers in a regulated environment are highly beneficial
  • Decisive, taking ownership for results and able to influence key decision-makers
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to plan, organize, and implement concurrent tasks
  • Able to distill critical information from complex inputs
  • Proven ability to define and manage project risks effectively
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated or similar regulated industry is beneficial
  • High level of PC skills with expertise in MS Project
  • Experience with MES/SAP, GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods, and process/product validations is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of the project
  • Deliver project within scope, schedule, cost, and quality parameters
  • Lead New Product/Product Transfer, process, and technology implementation initiatives while managing project spend on capital and expense budgets
  • Participate in the selection, training, and performance appraisal of project resources
  • Lead shared resources and deploy them in line with program priorities, ensuring elements of the team report to the PM
  • Establish clear, objective, and quantifiable metrics to monitor project progress, including PTQ, slippage, float, risk rating, and financials
  • Work closely with Divisional and GQO representatives to ensure successful project implementation
  • Engage actively with Manufacturing Operations to optimize floor space utilization, minimize handling, and enhance process flow
  • Lead teams in complex and dynamic situations, remove obstacles, assign appropriate resources, and interact with other functions to assist with issue resolution and work process streamlining
  • Identify, monitor, and manage project risks effectively, liaising with the broader Product Transfer team on common Product Transfer issues and resolutions
  • Establish priorities, impart a sense of urgency, and follow Project Management methodology in project execution
  • Provide high-quality leadership to project resources, generating an engaging and positive environment
