Requirements

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative field such as environmental science, engineering, or information systems management, and have at least five years of relevant work experience. A foundational understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, including system loops, thermodynamics, mass and energy balances, and engineering schematics, is required. Experience with technical projects like energy modeling, reporting on technical development, collaborating with system designers, or supporting research is necessary. The role also demands the ability to independently troubleshoot complex data issues, strong attention to detail for quality assurance, proven skill in managing competing priorities with personal accountability, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager II will enable the implementation of energy efficiency and electrification programs by launching and monitoring emerging technology projects on State-run software platforms. This role involves translating technical and non-technical program and equipment details between audiences, ensuring alignment between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders by gathering requirements, and developing and documenting project results with internal and partner teams. Additionally, the Project Manager II will plan and monitor project timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget completion, and provide guidance and training to peers and junior team members.
