Position Overview

Resource Innovations (RI) is seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Coordinator to join our growing team in New Jersey. This role operates in a dynamic environment, supporting large-scale commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. The ideal candidate is an exceptional individual who thrives in an innovative setting, possesses strong organizational and people skills, and can manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment, adapting quickly to operational challenges, subcontractor issues, and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist service providers and customers with program participation by answering energy efficiency program questions, reviewing project details, and providing guidance on the application process.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with administrative tasks such as budget tracking and invoice processing.
• Assist with organizing meetings, workshops, and other project-related activities.
• Establish and maintain professional customer rapport, identifying and anticipating customer needs and proposing solutions.
• Promptly and accurately address customer concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships.
• Understand organizational and decision-making processes to work with stakeholders in determining project eligibility, schedule, and potential energy savings.
• Perform and review energy savings calculations for evaluating energy savings and environmental impact.
• Provide technical and customer support to energy efficiency incentive program participants.
• Manage on-time delivery of technical reports to customers and subcontractors/service providers.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects, provide timely updates, and ensure customers and subcontractors/service providers are up-to-date with program information.
• Communicate efficiently with subcontractors/service providers, customers, and clients to meet program requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of project coordination experience or similar within the energy efficiency industry.
• Education: BA or BS degree preferred, ideally in a field focused on energy, technology, policy, research, and/or sustainability. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects and work with technical staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM; ability to learn and operate company proprietary software.
  • Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.

• Technical acumen regarding residential & multifamily energy use and/or building science.

• Experience working with trade organizations, contractors, outreach staff, and union organizations is desired.
