Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. required. Degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, math, physics or related field is highly preferred
  • 3-5 years of hands on project management or related experience
  • Passion for consumer technology and developing a deep understanding of complex products and systems, with a focus on IoT technologies
  • Relevant industry experience developing, leading or managing projects within a technical engineering organization
  • Proven track record working across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - understanding and coordination of a complex product suite across many different teams
  • Ability to context switch, desire to learn, and good communication skills required
  • General knowledge of business, economics and/or finance is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, as well as the Atlassian suite of products (especially JIRA and Confluence), is a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products and project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple technology projects, stakeholders, and company resources across multiple product offerings
  • Define, own, and manage holistic project plans/roadmaps to clearly communicate the necessary steps and measurable milestones to achieve project success
  • Align local and remote project teams (internal & external), utilizing multiple project management techniques to effectively solve problems and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Actively own day to day project execution, including maintaining a project backlog, communicating with stakeholders, building consensus, and facilitating team meetings
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve project dependencies, risks, or opportunities
  • Supporting Engineering and Product Management teams at all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Champion Engineering technical documentation and project information organization
  • Identifying and implementing new Project Management practices and overall team process improvements in coordination with Program Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Alarm.com’s technology partners, all while identifying new technology or partnership opportunities that add value to Alarm.com’s business
  • Other duties as assigned
