This position contributes to Benefitfocus’ Product Team success by assuming responsibility for the strategic value, capabilities, and performance of the product portfolio in support of the Health Plan business. The Program Manager Strategic Portfolio Delivery needs to be an expert in managing complex and ambiguous technical initiatives while managing cross functional expectations - including but not limited to technology product roadmaps, feature sets, problem areas, timelines, and change requests. To ensure capabilities aligns to Benefitfocus Leadership Team and Health Plan business strategic priorities, incumbent should establish an effective structure to monitor, report and adapt execution as needed to mitigate risks and ensure delivery of value to customers and the market.

Requirements

  • Expertise in managing complex and ambiguous technical initiatives.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional expectations (Technology, Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customers).
  • Strong understanding of product roadmaps, feature sets, and timelines.
  • Experience with risk identification and mitigation.
