Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, a Professional Landscape Architect (RLA) or equivalent license, and a minimum of ten years of related experience. Strong design skills, excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills are also required, along with self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with others.
The Professional Landscape Architect will perform technical design of projects from schematic design through construction document phase, develop design plans for various projects including urban planning, park, and urban design, articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineation, evaluate and modify standard techniques, prepare renderings, maps, and report graphics, perform site analysis, prepare construction documents, assist in master plan analysis, assist in writing proposals and technical presentations, deliver presentations at public meetings, research existing land use, prepare project specifications, document design changes and communications, attend council or commission meetings, observe work in progress on-site, prepare design cost estimates, prepare project status reports, attend meetings, maintain excellent client relations, maintain a safe working environment, and prepare design cost estimates.
