Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Prior experience as a Production Operator
Good math and communication skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Experience in or ability to learn operator control panels
Prior knowledge or ability to run automated casing equipment
Mechanical aptitude to sequence equipment for proper start-up and shutdown, and understanding of machinery and conveyor controls
Ability to identify line problems, non-conforming product, and employ corrective actions
Ability to perform repetitive stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing while operating equipment
Valid forklift license and ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
Ability to work 10½ hour shifts with unpaid lunch, including overtime
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Perform production activities including equipment set up, clean-ups, packaging filling and labeling, maintenance, and other operational duties
Utilize Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) by cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing production area equipment, floors, walls, and ceilings as required
Visually inspect all incoming materials and report non-conformances; visually inspect finished goods, make minor corrections, and report all non-conformances
Perform all essential job functions affecting quality according to quality system procedures and work instructions
Run multiple machines including fillers, cappers, robots, and casing equipment; perform line inspections, multiple tasks on drum filling line, all required quality checks, and accurately complete required documentation
Properly and consistently run all packaging equipment and occasionally provide relief for other operators as assigned
Adhere to all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
Monitor computer terminals and OIT screens
