Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality systems (combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and PPI (Practical Process Improvement) desired
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and safety standards
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and housekeeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in computer use and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform job requirements while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Moderate physical exertion, including lifting medium weight objects, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, frequent operation of equipment (e.g., keyboards), prolonged walking, sitting, or standing
  • Tolerance for regular exposure to dust, fumes, or odors, with use of PPE as necessary
  • Adherence to Cleanroom standards (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead process and quality improvements in manufacturing and packaging to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and boost operational output
  • Conduct root cause analyses, determine corrective actions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Actively improve processes to achieve high-quality standards, eliminate waste, and meet departmental goals
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, performance, and maintenance
  • Evaluate current processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize process capabilities
  • Lead the quality response process, including initial response, containment, root cause investigation, and corrective actions
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address issues related to formulations, equipment, and processes
  • Facilitate implementation of new or improved processes, including training crews on night and weekend shifts as needed
  • Represent the production department in project teams and meetings
  • Aid in the creation and upkeep of quality and training initiatives
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Facility/Equipment Schedulers, Materials Management, Analytical Development, and other areas to achieve project goals
  • Maintain a deep understanding of pharmaceutical processes, equipment, and procedures
