Requirements

High School diploma
Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction industry, or similar (preferred)
3 years of flexographic printing and/or blown film multilayer extrusion experience (asset)
Basic knowledge of water-based print and/or blown film extrusion raw materials
Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience (preferred)
Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity
Attention to detail
Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
Good communication skills; fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Comfortable working in a dusty environment
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Flexible to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures
Complete health & safety pre-start checklists
Inspect raw materials and finished products per quality specifications
Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
Ensure product being produced meets established quality specifications
Conduct quality checks at regular intervals
Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
Document production numbers and items contributing to down-time into system
Safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
General housekeeping duties
Additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff
