Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of panel and lumber grades
  • Develop knowledge of lumber math and efficient utilization of materials and develop a full understanding of cuts and yields
  • Learn how to operate the Company’s business system in order to perform required administrative functions
  • Develop detailed knowledge of product costing
  • Develop an understanding of the production scheduling process
  • Develop working knowledge of the budget and expense control process
  • Supervise activities consistent with all Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, efficiency standards, and safety
  • Develop working knowledge and understanding of Human Resources policies and practices
  • Develop a detailed understanding of operations by touring other UFP facilities and customer locations
  • Complete courses and assignments as directed
  • Prepare various reports as required
  • Perform other duties as required
