Requirements

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:00 pm to 6:00 am) with rotating schedule (every other weekend off)
Compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures
Training to work in other areas as needed
Ability to operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, vacuums, and other cleaning tools

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes
Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas of the plant according to job standards
Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and food processing facilities
Operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers and scissor lifts to perform job functions
Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures
Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility
Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval
Remove trash/garbage from the facility; mop as needed, clean floor drains, and any exterior areas requiring attention
Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation
Wash and maintain cleaning carts and tools
Maintain all sanitation related equipment including automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning tools
Perform other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor
Keep cleaning supplies stocked, on-hand, and organized
