Requirements

Ability to ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes
Capability to clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas according to job standards
Experience or ability to clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities
Proficiency in operating specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, etc
Knowledge to prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation
Adherence to company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility
Ability to perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before supervisor approval
Capability to remove trash/garbage, mop, clean floor drains, and attend to exterior areas
Skill in completing all required sanitation and work order documentation
Ability to wash and maintain cleaning carts and tools
Maintenance of sanitation-related equipment (e.g., automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning tools)
Accountability for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures
Flexibility to work in other areas if trained and as needed
Availability for 12-hour day shift (6:00 am to 6:00 pm) with rotating schedule

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas according to job standards
Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and food processing facilities
Operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts to perform job functions
Prevent cross contamination during sanitation procedures
Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility
Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval
Remove trash/garbage for the facility; mop as needed, clean floor drains, and any exterior areas requiring attention
Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation
Wash and maintain cleaning carts and tools
Maintain all sanitation-related equipment including automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning tools
Perform other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor
Keep cleaning supplies stocked, on-hand, and organized
Work in other areas as needed, if trained
Meet compliance standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures
