Ability to work 3rd shift (11:15pm to 7:45am, Mon-Fri) at Sturgis, MI plant
Capability to efficiently clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas during short time periods between production shifts
Knowledge or ability to follow company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning equipment and facility
Ability to perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
Willingness to work with the maintenance team to align cleaning schedules with equipment work
Commitment to preventing cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes to meet sanitation standards and maintain food safety
Completely clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas efficiently
Follow the master cleaning schedule/checklist and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Provide oversight and involvement in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
Prevent cross contamination during sanitation procedures
Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
Coordinate with the maintenance team to align cleaning schedules with equipment maintenance
