  • Ability to work 3rd shift (11:15pm to 7:45am, Mon-Fri) at Sturgis, MI plant
  • Capability to efficiently clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas during short time periods between production shifts
  • Knowledge or ability to follow company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning equipment and facility
  • Ability to perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
  • Willingness to work with the maintenance team to align cleaning schedules with equipment work
  • Commitment to preventing cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes to meet sanitation standards and maintain food safety
  • Completely clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas efficiently
  • Follow the master cleaning schedule/checklist and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Provide oversight and involvement in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
  • Prevent cross contamination during sanitation procedures
  • Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to align cleaning schedules with equipment maintenance
