Requirements

Candidates must possess a University Degree and 3-5 years of pharmaceutical, medical, or surgical sales experience, with ophthalmic sales experience being ideal. Strong written and verbal communication, independent problem-solving, advanced presentation skills, and practice development experience are essential. Advanced optic skills, ophthalmic surgery expertise, knowledge of diagnostic tests and cataract procedures, computer literacy in MS Office, and proven analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills are required. The candidate must reside in Quebec, preferably in or near Quebec City.

Responsibilities

The Product Specialist will collaborate with Surgical Account Managers to implement clinical and technical launch initiatives for new products, delivering post-launch presentations and providing training and support for refractive intraocular lenses. They will communicate advanced knowledge of cataract-refractive procedures and surgical techniques, support business relations with accounts and surgeons, and contribute to sales targets. Responsibilities include developing regional tactical plans, training physicians and staff, supporting patient selection and IOL selection, fostering the perception of Alcon’s products, assisting Account Managers with business plans, completing administrative tasks, liaising with key accounts, supporting marketing plans, and responding quickly to customer requests, including travel for conferences and meetings.
