AI Subject Matter Expert with opinions on the direction of the space and where to go
Proven success in software product management, ideally at fast-growing, SaaS-based startups
Ability to identify what a great product looks and feels like, and confidence to challenge the team to produce the best possible result
Thoughtful, organized, and disciplined with a bias to action; thrives in rapidly evolving environments and takes initiative
Strong listening and great communication skills to explain product concepts to customers and customer use cases to internal teams
Experience facilitating and collaborating with high emotional intelligence, inspiring peers with context and evidence of customer/business value
Excited by solving complex problems in the simplest way and knowing which tools to apply
Not afraid to take risks in a thoughtful way that ensures learning regardless of outcome

Responsibilities

Map Jellyfish’s ecosystem of competitors, partners, and adjacent tools
Track how AI technologies and startups are reshaping customer expectations and workflows
Identify gaps, opportunities, and threats in the engineering management space
Conduct deep research into competitive product offerings, messaging, pricing, and positioning
Provide executive-ready deliverables (briefings, battlecards, trend analyses)
Partner closely with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and GTM
Help shape product direction by ensuring strategy is grounded in market realities
Influence decision-making with crisp, data-backed recommendations
Leverage technical background to evaluate shifting developer workflows and key integrations/partnerships
