Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product form filings, preferably in the life insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of state insurance department standards and requirements
  • Broad knowledge of insurance products and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to read and interpret laws and regulations related to product and endorsement forms and filings
  • Proven ability to shape and refine insurance applications, new business and disclosure forms, and related statements of variability

  • Experience in SERFF system a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., insurance, business, law)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Filing: Own and manage the Ethos portion of the filing process for policy forms and applications
  • Inform Product Development Strategy: Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, and carrier partners to refine product features and applications
  • Optimize Application Design: Provide expert guidance on bracketing, reflexive questions, and variability
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and competitor filings
  • Improve Processes Continuously: Innovate on filing processes by implementing best practices and technology solutions
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with carriers, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless product offerings
  • Develop and Refine Regulatory Solutions: Shape product designs and applications to balance innovation with regulatory standards
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including carriers, regulators, and product teams
