We are seeking a Product Counsel to be a key legal partner to our Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Content teams. You will work closely with the Product Counsel, Head of Product Legal, and wider legal team to proactively guide product development and feature launches from a regulatory, consumer protection, and IP compliance perspective. You will be central in shaping how Welltech innovates responsibly, ensuring our products remain trusted, legally sound, and user-first across global markets.

Requirements

  • Education: Qualified lawyer (EU, or equivalent)
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience, ideally with some in-house experience at a tech or digital consumer company.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, digital products, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Skills:
    • Cross-functional collaboration and influencing product and marketing decisions at scale.
    • Ability to provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice under tight timelines.
    • Builder’s mindset – ability to thrive in structure and ambiguity.
    • Familiarity with global subscription models, health tech, or wellness products (a plus).
    • Team player with high EQ and a natural curiosity.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on all legal matters related to product development and user experience, including:
    • Consumer protection
    • E-commerce
    • Auto-renewals
    • Dark patterns
    • Disclosures
    • Advertising law
    • Platform-specific requirements (e.g., Apple, Google)
  • Partner cross-functionally with product managers, designers, marketing, and content teams to provide clear and actionable legal guidance.
  • Review and advise on sign-up flows, cancellation flows, upsells, and monetization models.
  • Monitor evolving global regulations (e.g., FTC, DSA, ROSCA, GPSR, UK DMCCA) and translate them into product-ready compliance strategies.
  • Help shape and scale our legal processes, templates, and risk frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks early in the product lifecycle and support creative problem-solving.
