Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, business-minded legal advice across product development, privacy/data protection, compliance, marketing, and intellectual property matters
  • Guide teams through the AI/ML product lifecycle, including model development, deployment, integrations, and go-to-market considerations
  • Maintain literacy in modern data and AI systems: how data is collected, transformed, stored, and how models are served—and translate this knowledge into privacy, security, and contractual requirements
  • Stay ahead of emerging global regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, data portability regimes) and advise stakeholders on their impact to Outreach’s roadmap
  • Ensure product features and user experiences comply with privacy, data protection, IP, and other applicable laws
  • Support cross-functional alignment among Legal, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Security, and Go-to-Market to balance innovation with regulatory responsibility
  • Represent Legal in key stakeholder forums, advocating for innovation, compliance, and customer trust
  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on customer and product integration agreements, including licensing, data usage, and AI model-related terms
  • Provide expert guidance on data rights, privacy, and security in commercial contracts
  • Contribute to playbooks, fallback positions, and training materials that streamline and scale deal velocity
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Privacy, and GRC teams to develop deal strategies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Build scalable legal frameworks that enable business teams to move quickly while managing risk
  • Translate legal and business strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
  • Set goals, drive execution, and deliver results both independently and collaboratively within the Legal team and across Outreach
  • Deliver clear, timely guidance that aligns with product timelines and balances risk with speed
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders—translating legal and technical complexity into clear, actionable recommendations
