Responsibilities

Provide support to the Procurement team for all phases of vendor recruitment for the Ontario Line Elevated Guideway and Stations project
Work closely with other project departments and stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and meet organizational needs
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and organize procurement-related filing systems
Perform pre-qualification of bidders, prepare procurement strategy and tender packages, and issue tenders through the selected electronic quotation system
Ensure packages are tendered as per schedule requirements and provide feedback in a timely manner
Support in identifying cost savings and project-wide procurement opportunities, including formation of master supply and master services agreements
Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to capture relevant requirements in tender packages and ensure contract awards meet project requirements, budget constraints, and provide best value
Perform commercial evaluation and recommendations of quotations, communicate directly with vendors on procurement matters, and select vendors providing required goods/services at best value
Manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, oversee delivery of goods/services, monitor vendor performance, and support resolution of issues
Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure favorable terms, including prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms
Coordinate expediting for delivery of vendor equipment and materials to site and manage the complete life cycle of purchase orders
Perform procurement activities in accordance with project procurement policies, procedures, legal, and regulatory requirements
Satisfy demand placed in the system, create purchase orders in SAP, and drive toward a zero exception procure-to-pay process
Conduct kick-off meetings and handover executed subcontracts to the Subcontracts Administration team
Participate in identifying procurement risks to protect project interests
