Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior role, with expertise in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures and intermediate to advanced experience with Linux Operating Systems and CI/Build tools. Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with at least one public cloud platform, with AWS preferred, is required, as is familiarity with config management and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Salt or Chef, with Terraform or Docker preferred.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Development Engineer will design and implement tools for automating customer rollouts and upgrades, minimizing maintenance requirements and error-prone tasks, and working to increase developer productivity through automation and advocating for DevOps practices within engineering teams. They will collaborate with QA and Engineering to design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements, working with subject matter experts to contribute to product development and participate in post-mortem operations discussions, capacity planning, and identifying areas for improvement in automation and error reporting/observability.
