Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 15+ years of experience in digital or mixed signal electronics design including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing
  • Design proficiency with processors, FPGAs, SoCs, memory, high speed data interfaces, switch mode power supplies, clocking, etc
  • Skilled at schematic capture and layout of complex HDI PCBs
  • Skilled at performing circuit simulations and analysis for signal integrity, timing, size/mass, power, etc. (Preferred tools: HyperLynx, Spice, silicon vendor supplied planning tools e.g. Vivado)
  • Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering iron, etc
  • Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Own digital PCBA development from blank sheet to flight
  • Develop PCBA requirements, architectures, and con-ops in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout of complex high speed digital processing PCBAs using Altium Designer
  • Circuit analysis and simulations including signal integrity, timing, SWaP, tolerance, and reliability
  • PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing
  • Manufacturing and flight support as needed
