Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of work experience in a relevant field
  • Solid research background and experience in computer vision and deep learning
  • Demonstration of both the breadth and the depth of knowledge and track record of solving challenging problems in real-world scenarios
  • Proven programming skills in Python, C, C++, and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Experience managing technical team including research scientists and ML Engineering
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Engage in pioneering research in intelligent video analytics to enhance smart home applications
  • Invent, refine, and adapt state-of-the-art techniques in computer vision and machine learning for edge and cloud computing platforms
  • Explore innovative ideas
  • Take on leadership roles
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Oversee complex projects
  • Work in areas including vision foundation models, image and video analysis using vision-language models, image and video synthesis with generative AI, customizing large language models, pattern discovery and anomaly detection, object detection/tracking/association/attribute classification/re-identification, human pose estimation/action/activity recognition, face detection/verification/recognition, semantic/instance/panoptic segmentation
  • Other duties as assigned
