Requirements

PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
8+ years of work experience in a relevant field
Solid research background and experience in computer vision and deep learning
Demonstration of both the breadth and the depth of knowledge and track record of solving challenging problems in real-world scenarios
Proven programming skills in Python, C, C++, and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Experience managing technical team including research scientists and ML Engineering
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

Engage in pioneering research in intelligent video analytics to enhance smart home applications
Invent, refine, and adapt state-of-the-art techniques in computer vision and machine learning for edge and cloud computing platforms
Explore innovative ideas
Take on leadership roles
Mentor junior team members
Oversee complex projects
Work in areas including vision foundation models, image and video analysis using vision-language models, image and video synthesis with generative AI, customizing large language models, pattern discovery and anomaly detection, object detection/tracking/association/attribute classification/re-identification, human pose estimation/action/activity recognition, face detection/verification/recognition, semantic/instance/panoptic segmentation
