Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication, the ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities, and shown leadership, initiative, and motivation are also necessary. Experience mentoring junior staff and communicating effectively within multi-disciplinary teams is required.
The Principal Programmer Analyst will lead and innovate within clinical trials, focusing on statistical and bioinformatics programming. Responsibilities include collaborating with business users to understand requirements and recommend solutions, developing tailored and impromptu reports from the safety database using SQL, and developing and validating aggregate safety reports. The role involves solving problems, addressing user queries, supporting routine dictionary upgrades, and communicating with vendors for system upgrades and issue resolution. Additionally, the analyst will support SOP creation, conduct audits of safety systems, lead system changes and upgrades under change control, and manage data migration and validation projects. They will interact with project teams and clients, provide programming support for safety data review and ad-hoc reports, lead project initiatives to ensure timely and successful outcomes, and act as a technical lead for department analytics. Reviewing and recommending process improvements, leading assignments to meet timelines with high-quality work, and estimating effort for bidding activities are also key responsibilities. Mentoring junior team members and coordinating study strategy are also part of the role.
