Candidates must have a strong understanding of clinical trials design and reporting processes, with knowledge of clinical safety reporting requirements being a plus. Expertise in SAS programming, including the ability to write and use SAS macros for automation, is essential. Strong project management skills, including the ability to anticipate time, resources, and staffing needs for multiple concurrent projects, are required. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary.
The Manager, Statistical Programming will serve as a project lead, overseeing outsourced safety analyses and acting as a fluent programmer for complex Clinical Safety Surveillance projects. Responsibilities include identifying analysis issues, assuring project quality, and negotiating project scope, milestones, and timelines with stakeholders. The role involves generating or overseeing the production of statistical outputs like tables and listings for safety analysis reports, harmonizing source data, and creating/validating analysis datasets and TLFs. The manager will also collaborate with Clinical Development staff, ensure programming consistency with departmental procedures, and potentially train or recommend training for others.
