Requirements

Candidates should possess 8+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on log ingestion, query capabilities, or log management platforms, and proven expertise in log analytics within observability and security, including a strong understanding of best practices for log data ingestion, processing, and querying. They should also have experience working directly with technical engineering teams and in a matrixed Product Management team environment, along with the ability to navigate complex decision-making and effectively communicate across teams, and understanding and ability to define technical specifications, write high-level documents, and interpret observability, security and compliance requirements into concrete product requirements.

Responsibilities

The Principal Product Manager will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company’s logs ingest and query capabilities, ensuring they are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and industry standards. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, leading the design and implementation of user-centric log query features. Furthermore, they will conduct market research and competitive analysis, establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), engage with key customers and stakeholders, participate in go-to-market strategies, develop sales enablement materials, and capture market and competitive intelligence to inform the platform direction.
