Candidates must possess 15+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or related fields. A proven track record in designing infrastructure deployments for mission-critical, self-healing enterprise systems is required, along with expertise in major cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing microservices and serverless architectures is also essential.
The Principal Infrastructure Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure ecosystems, acting as a strategic partner to application teams for seamless full-stack solution integration in hybrid environments. Key responsibilities include developing infrastructure roadmaps, defining hosting architectures across cloud-native and hybrid platforms, evaluating emerging technologies, and aligning infrastructure strategy with FinOps principles. The architect will ensure designs meet enterprise standards for zero-trust, resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability, establish performance benchmarks, and proactively identify risks. They will embed security and compliance requirements (SOX, PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) into designs, integrate DevSecOps practices, and collaborate with security and audit teams. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, partnering with various teams to ensure infrastructure fit-for-purpose, leading cross-functional discussions, and mentoring technical teams. Additionally, the architect will drive automation-first principles using Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and orchestration tools, implement observability platforms, and champion modernization initiatives.
