Responsibilities

Lead, perform reliability and/or strategic scenario-based planning driven studies of existing and forecast system conditions
Conduct assessments including voltage, thermal, PV, transfer limit, short circuit, electromagnetic transient and stability
Contribute sound engineering input to develop robust, reliable, low-cost solutions
Review data and assumptions from regional and industry stakeholders
Interface with ISO-New England, area transmission owners, and Eversource departments (UG/OH engineering, Substation Technical, DER, Operations, etc.)
Document and communicate results and recommendations (data manipulation, report writing, presentations)
Collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop long-range planning criteria for integrating new technologies
Represent Eversource on regional, national, and international committees and working groups (NATF, IEEE, state public utility commissions)
Demonstrate self-sufficiency, accountability, and cooperation
Mentor and provide technical training to other engineers
Perform emergent storm assignments as needed
Active participation in regional, national, and international committees and working groups
