Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering OR Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in testing of human movement and human physiology
  • 3+ years of experience working with and programming digital sensors
  • 2+ years of experience conducting signal processing analytics
  • 2+ years of experience using computer programming skills
  • Background in motion capture systems, actigraphy, inertial-measurement-unit (IMU), photoplethysmography, electrocardiography, and other biomedical signals
  • Proficiency in operating biomedical research devices, developing signal processing pipelines, and analytical tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage DHT testing capabilities, including collaborating with senior Biomedical Engineering members to build biomedical testing capabilities for DHTs, managing lab space and equipment, and handling DHTs for in-house testing
  • Assist in developing in-house evaluation tests and user acceptance tests (UATs) for related DHTs
  • Assist in managing and setting up in-house evaluation tests, including scheduling sessions and monitoring participants
  • Support data preparation and analysis for in-house evaluations and UATs
  • Collaborate with senior Biomedical Engineer members to conduct testing over multiple DHTs and integrate biomedical data into advanced analytics platforms
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows to process biomedical datasets
  • Utilize Python and R for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization to support research and development initiatives
  • Apply principles of biomedical engineering to solve problems related to signal processing, imaging, and physiological data interpretation
  • Ensure the quality, security, and scalability of biomedical data solutions
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and generate insights to inform product development and clinical research
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in biomedical data engineering and analytics
