Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 6 years of experience servicing electronic equipment, or high school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced technical capabilities including troubleshooting, repair, and installation
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
  • Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods; reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; good hand and finger dexterity (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on customer equipment
  • Perform installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Lead, instruct, and assist less experienced Field Engineers and provide coaching and feedback to team members
  • Act as technical expert for escalations and FMI's for one or more modalities
  • Lead communications with customers and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations
  • Own customer issues from dispatch or identification to resolution; proactively engage with team members for solutions
  • Co-lead regular team or modality meetings as required
  • Assist Area Service Leader in creating growth and/or deployment strategies
  • Maintain relationships with customers; ensure timely communication, resolution, and follow-up to drive satisfaction
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols; ensure regulatory/compliance requirements are met and document all work daily, including debriefing, metrics, and ordering parts
  • Partner with customer and/or sales team to recommend value-added services
  • Utilize GEHC escalation process and work with region/national support to define and implement corrective action plans
  • May include application training of clinical or scientific staff on designated equipment
