A strong proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing, experience with Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala), and familiarity with the AWS technology stack (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR) are essential. The role requires experience in data and entity relationship modeling for data warehouses and analytics solutions, a deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NOSQL), and comfort working with unstructured and semi-structured data, including web scraping. Experience in a professional software environment utilizing source control (git), issue tracking (JIRA, Confluence), continuous integration, code reviews, and agile development processes (Scrum/Lean) is necessary, along with a basic understanding of data privacy and security principles. A demonstrated interest or experience in AI/ML applications, including support for model development or deployment workflows, and a proactive mindset towards exploring emerging technologies in AI and data science for innovation are also required.
