Requirements

8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a senior/technical leadership role (e.g., Staff Engineer, Team Lead)
Proven track record as a Player-Coach: both hands-on coding of core systems and successful technical mentorship of engineering teams
Deep, specific expertise in data systems for Memory
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-volume, mission-critical systems with a relentless focus on stability, measured by error rates and uptime
Strong adherence to First Principles thinking; proven ability to avoid premature optimization while building for long-term scalability and technical elegance

Responsibilities

Act as the Technical Steward for the entire data fabric, setting the long-term technical direction and overseeing the implementation of the mandated Single Source of Truth
Act as the Player-Coach, personally coding the most complex, foundational data pipelines (ETL/ELT), while mentoring and enforcing rigorous standards for data quality and security across the squad
Design and implement mandatory governance protocols to ensure consistency, accuracy, and lineage validation from ingestion through all consumption points
Engineer the data systems for extreme scalability, ensuring data retrieval and processing can handle 10x growth in transactions
Maintain Critical Data Consistency Rate at 99.0% or higher (percentage of defined critical business records that are fully compliant, consistent, and validated across all interconnected Enterprise Internal Systems)
