DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking multiple Remote Principal Creative Designers to support the following teams:

  • DSG Vertical Brands
  • Golf
  • Team Sports

The Principal Graphic Designer is responsible for providing creative vision and leadership on complex and high-profile creative campaigns and projects. This role oversees the design, development, and production of campaign and seasonal advertising materials.

Responsibilities

Creative Strategy, Art Direction, and Develop Creative Collateral

  • Provide creative vision and leadership for the most complex and high-profile creative projects.
  • Guide visual style, tone, and messaging to ensure consistency and relevance across all channels.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and best-practice leader for creative campaign development.
  • Implement creative best practices and brand strategy.
  • Pitch ideas that support brand positioning, objectives, and cultural relevance.
  • Collaborate with photographers and art direct photoshoots, providing guidance on composition, lighting, styling, and visual storytelling to achieve high-quality, on-brand imagery.
  • Lead video production efforts, collaborating with videographers and directing shoots to ensure alignment with creative strategy, providing guidance on shot composition, lighting, pacing, and storytelling for compelling video content.

Cross-Functional Teammates

  • Collaborate with cross-functional DICK’S teammates to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Partner with Creative Managers and Creative Directors on campaign themes, visual standards, storyboards, art direction, and plans for both in-studio and on-location photoshoots.
  • Effectively collaborate with other Designers, Marketers, Copywriters, and Production teams to bring creative visions to life.

Athlete Focus

  • Champion the athlete in all thought processes, creative work, design, and final assets.
  • Apply brand identity elements to conceptual work and integrate them across all materials for a consistent athlete experience.
