Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years specifically focused on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep is required, alongside familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud security best practices and cost optimization strategies is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal Consultant - Infrastructure/Platform Engineer will design, implement, and support the infrastructure that powers large-scale data projects for clients across various industries, including telecoms, insurance, finance, and mortgages. They will contribute to the development of internal infrastructure delivery capability by building internal Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and reusable assets. This role involves collaborating with data engineers, consultants, and client DevOps teams to provision infrastructure as code, manage containerized environments, implement security controls, and optimize cloud environments for scalability and cost-effectiveness. The engineer will also create documentation, runbooks, and client-facing reports to support infrastructure deployments and handovers, while working on internal infrastructure capabilities for client deployment.
