Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer to lead our Agentic AI investments within the Next Generation Security Information and Event Management (NG-SIEM) product group. Our NG-SIEM product is a core investment and a rapidly growing area at CrowdStrike, aiming to provide a single, comprehensive application for all customer security needs. We operate at an immense scale, processing billions of events and petabytes of data daily. AI is already integral to our security intelligence, and our goal is to make it a central part of the security analyst experience on the CrowdStrike platform.

As a Principal Engineer in the NG-SIEM team, you will own, shape, and build AI-powered experiences. You will be instrumental in all aspects of our systems to bring these AI-powered experiences to life. What You’ll Do

• Lead Agentic AI Solutions: Drive the development of sophisticated AI agents, including fine-tuning and integrating with various models.
• AI Application Development: Play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of AI applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic frameworks, and related technologies, with a focus on scalability, accuracy, and reliability.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with enterprise teams to integrate LLM models and deliver on product roadmaps.
• Mentorship: Mentor team members, fostering growth and expertise in the AI domain.
• Performance Benchmarking: Define benchmarks and metrics to evaluate the performance of agents and Agentic frameworks.
• Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, and Agentic frameworks, applying this knowledge to enhance existing systems and develop new ones.
• Problem Solving: Tackle highly complex and unique challenges, requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple organizational areas, to deliver solutions aligned with technical vision and business objectives.
• Troubleshooting: Isolate and resolve issues encountered during various stages of software development, including production environments.
• Strategic Impact: Leverage advanced technology experience to advance the organization's tactical and strategic business objectives.
• Leadership Advisory: Act as an advisor to leadership, influencing AI development strategies.

What You’ll Need

• Education & Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience with a B.S. in a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience with an M.S. in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with a Ph.D. in a related field.
• SAAS & Cloud Experience: 6+ years of experience leading and building SAAS and hybrid-cloud application development in large organizations or innovative startups.
• Agentic AI Platforms: 3+ years of experience with Agentic AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, etc.
• Conversational AI: Experience with AI-based conversational UI.
• Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in one of the following languages: Python, Go, Scala, or Java, with experience in building distributed systems.
