Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in brand strategy or product marketing with experience managing multiple channels, on the agency or client side
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
  • At least 5 years experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies to support Discover cardmember conversion to Capital One, encouraging digital engagement and spend with Capital One
  • Lead cross-functional working group responsible for delivering marketing strategies, including Creative, Segmentation, Email Coding, Direct Mail delivery and Legal Routings
  • Leverage insights & performance results to identify opportunities to optimize marketing programs
  • Champion and deliver customer research to inform marketing strategies and creative decisions, developing materials to socialize insights to obtain leadership buy-in
  • Develop learning agenda, including research and testing plan, to inform optimizations for future waves
  • Monitor and analyze marketing engagement metrics to inform future marketing campaigns to backbook customers post-conversion
  • Partner with Product and Enterprise teams to ensure capabilities are being developed to meet team needs, and enable marketing strategies
  • Identify potential impediments to problem solve autonomously or escalate to leaders for help as necessary
  • Merchandize and socialize marketing & business results with broader stakeholder groups
