Twilio is seeking a Principal, AI Modeling & Pricing Scalability to drive the scale, prioritization, and impact of Twilio’s pricing strategy initiatives. This role is crucial for a multi-year pricing strategy across the Twilio platform, involving multi-horizon planning to prioritize pricing initiatives for customer acquisition, retention, and long-term profitable growth. The position is highly visible and reports to the VP of Pricing & Packaging, serving as a member of the Senior Pricing Leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Harness the Power of AI and Quantitative Modeling: Lead the development and application of advanced AI models and quantitative frameworks to drive portfolio pricing performance and identify untapped margin growth potential.
  • Size and Prioritize Pricing Investments: Evaluate market opportunities with rigor, quantifying their potential impact and helping the team develop clear business cases to inform strategic prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Drive Scalable Strategic Initiatives: Design and implement portfolio processes that achieve agility and optimize scale across the platform, maximizing efficiency and impact.
  • Influence Product Investment Decisions: Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to provide critical pricing insights that shape product development and platform prioritization, ensuring market fit and revenue optimization.
  • Craft Compelling Executive Narratives: Synthesize complex analyses and strategic recommendations into clear, concise and persuasive executive-level presentations that drive alignment and decision making.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • Significant experience (12+ years) in strategy consulting, pricing, marketing, or GTM strategy, with a proven track record of developing and implementing impactful strategies for leading organizations.
    • Deep expertise in quantitative modeling and data analysis applied to pricing, with the ability to translate complex data from disparate sources into actionable insights.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI tools and techniques for analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision making.
    • Proven ability to size market opportunities, develop robust business cases, and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling executive-level summaries and influence senior leadership.
    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Desired:
    • Advanced degree, ideally an MBA, with a strong academic record.
    • Familiarity with technology monetization strategies, particularly for platform-level monetization.
    • Knowledge of CPaaS.
