Requirements

Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Advanced Manufacturing, Automation, and Digitization
Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing engineering teams with a focus on automation technologies
Expertise in automation systems, robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and IoT as they relate to manufacturing processes
Proficiency in GSD and background in factory capacity planning & management
Strong technical foundation with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in engineering or technology management preferred
Experience in manufacturing process design and optimization, with demonstrated ability to innovate and improve complex systems
Track record of successfully implementing large-scale automation and digitization projects within a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills, with ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-layered global organization
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and data analysis tools
Work from Nike Mexico Office (not remote)
Ability to travel 50% of time within factories in North and Central America

Responsibilities

Lead key Manufacturing Modernization and Digitization initiatives at Nike, together with Americas Apparel factory partners
Develop strategic plans for the integration of advanced technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and speed to market
Oversee the research and evaluation of new automation and digitization technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation supporting Nike’s enterprise strategy and business goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Partner Management, Product Creation, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, to align advanced capabilities with Nike’s product and process requirements
Drive the implementation of Advanced and Intelligent Industry initiatives, including smart factory concepts, IoT, and AI to create a connected and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem
Facilitate the development of technical standards and best practices for automation and digitization projects
Mentor and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Track and refresh key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation and digitization initiatives and their impact on manufacturing outcomes
Engage with external technology partners and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and stay abreast of emerging trends in advanced manufacturing
