Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but may be substituted for experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 6-8 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or CRO environment
  • Expert knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical industry, terminology, and practices (preferred)
  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Access
  • Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and orientation toward meticulous work
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Generates, analyzes, and manages accurate and timely client proposals.
  • Reads, analyzes, and collaboratively works with functional team owners to understand client’s Request for Proposal (“RFP”) & protocol.
  • Provides guidance and drives pricing toward standard or complex parameters based on RFP and protocol.
  • Coordinates & collaborates with team members to review Fee Schedules for large trials and/or Programs to determine best pricing strategy in conjunction with Sales, Finance, Product Leads, and/or Science teams.
  • Reviews all proposals with final approvers and ensures agreement of the strategy & pricing logic.
  • Works with Project Management Team on change of scope and client change order requests; updating budgets accordingly.
  • Works with Project Management and Sales team on client requested Price Estimates.
  • Ensures all reviews, approvals, documents, and analysis are filed in accordance to team requirements.
  • Incorporates any required sponsor revisions into cost formulas and documents same.
  • Formulates and drafts official proposal revision documents including Marketing content and SOWs.
  • Ensures all RFPs are submitted within gross margin (GM) guidelines.
  • Works with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to ensure accuracy and updating backend gross margins calculations, effort estimates, and costs as assigned by management.
  • Strategizes and updates Redbook/List Pricing as assigned by management.
  • Mentors, ensures quality, and trains other more junior team members.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality within all documentation provided by the larger team and ensures updates as needed.

  • Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by ensuring ongoing understanding of Clario’s services.
  • Reads, understands, and adheres to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists in establishing and enforcing departmental standards.
  • Participates in the modification of company SOPs related to the Contracts & Proposal team.
  • Contributes to team effort by exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes.
  • Works with Management team on operational efficiencies to drive resource efforts down, improve quality, and speed of all deliverables within the team.
  • Drives and documents process, consistency, and collaboration to ensure cross collaboration with C&P and other teams.
  • Helps others to achieve results.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
