  • Minimum 2-3 years PR experience in consumer PR, ideally with experience working within a consumer press office (agency or in house)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the frontline for Asda Brand's consumer press office, acting as the first port of call for consumer journalists
  • Develop and manage a calendar of regular, proactive news stories to promote Asda's offering across food, drink, and services throughout the year
  • Manage all reactive journalist requests relating to food and drink products, sharing information and managing sample requests as required, with support from the retained consumer agency
  • Monitor the news agenda and share opportunities to react that are relevant to the Asda brand and in-keeping with its tone of voice
  • Play a key role in the development and execution of seasonal wine events, managing relationships with key wine critics and influencers
  • Take responsibility for all press office coverage tracking and reporting, with team support, to ensure clear measurement processes are in place
  • Work closely with the social team to identify relevant influencers to amplify activity
