Requirements

  • 2+ years in a Cat Remanufacturing facility or equivalent previous manufacturing experience
  • High proficiency of PC skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints
  • Experience reading and understanding precision gauges/torque and torque devices
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks if necessary
  • Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEA
  • Attention to detail and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Expected to cross train in other areas of operations
  • Physical ability to handle high volume fast pace operation, walk, squat, and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes

Responsibilities

  • Support NPI and implementation of updated processes by building and testing PPAP samples
  • Support installation and run off of new equipment
  • Trial and runoff of new tools and associated training of group leaders and operators
  • Provide input for BOMs on fallout percentages and yield of component parts (e.g., determination of salvage rates)
  • Investigation and implementation of VS CI cards
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems
  • Evaluating and updating standard work, process flow, control plan, FMEA documents
  • Interfacing with operations and other cross functional groups in addition to engineering team members
  • Determine and perform root cause corrective analyses and actions
  • Attend and actively participate in safety and team meetings
  • RIW participation alongside VS engineer
  • Assist the Engineers in developing print packages for RFQ’s, tooling and fixtures, CI card completion, Standard Work and other QSI / ETQ documentation creation and maintenance, and related tasks as needed
