Requirements

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in consumer and/or consumer health, communications, marketing or digital roles
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Media relations expertise or keenness to develop these skills, including building media relations plans, drafting messaging and pitch angles, and selling to media with a focus on client outcomes
Passion for storytelling, proficiency in building campaigns using creative tactics, traditional media, and digital/social media strategies
Strong writing capabilities and creative thinking with willingness to share ideas and opinions
Basic proficiency with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) and curiosity about AI in communication practices

Responsibilities

Play a major role in creation of communications plans and goals for leading brands
Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
Drive media relations including creating and leading outreach plans, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarisation trips, effective pitching, training of spokespersons, and growth of contact network
Serve as daily client contact, addressing client issues thoughtfully and effectively
Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both earned and social media outreach plans
Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
Work closely with Account Managers to oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence
Assist junior staff by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedback
Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content
