Requirements

Candidates should have strong foundations in Linux, networking, security, cloud, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production is essential, along with proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, Python, or Rust. Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies like GitOps and DevSecOps, as well as database administration skills with PostgreSQL or etcd, are preferred. Familiarity with Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, along with contributions to open source projects, is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Platform Engineer will manage the underlying cloud and cluster technologies that compose the internal platform and oversee stateful backend services such as databases and Bitcoin/LN nodes. They will utilize, operate, and extend observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing. The role involves improving the robustness and security of the platform through enhancements like operators and overlay networks, and advising and assisting development teams with integrations, including Helm charts, cloud resources, and the Kubernetes lifecycle.
