Candidates should possess 3-5+ years of experience as a backend or platform engineer, with strong backend engineering skills in any language and robust relational database experience, preferably with Postgres. Comfort working with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and a passion for improving internal processes and tools are essential. Bonus experience includes Elixir or other functional languages, Terraform, data pipelines, Retool, and frontend experience with React, Next.js, or Vercel.
The Platform Engineer will build and maintain scalable internal infrastructure on AWS, improve internal tooling for engineers and cross-functional teams, and maintain/optimize secure systems for billing, compliance, and user data. Responsibilities also include designing and extending internal data pipelines, implementing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, and occasionally contributing to product or DevOps tasks as needed to support the team.
