Requirements

Candidates should have at least 5 years of platform or DevOps experience in a cloud-native software company. Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster management and creating helm charts for application deployments is required. Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application code deployments is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable implementing and securing services in Google Cloud Platform as Infrastructure as code, including GCP Projects, VPC Networks, Google Kubernetes Engine, and IAM roles. Proficiency in backend scripting languages such as Python, GoLang, JavaScript, Rust, or Bash is essential. Candidates should also be up-to-date on industry best practices and tools and have a passion for learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

The platform engineer will partner with application engineers to build and deploy reliable, performant, and secure infrastructure for mobile and web-based applications. They will collaborate with engineers and customers to create secure integrations between Abridge and healthcare systems. The engineer will enable application teams to adopt a 'you build it, you run it' philosophy by providing tools and processes for monitoring performance, availability, and reliability. They will identify opportunities to improve engineering velocity and lead efforts to implement those improvements through tooling and process. The engineer will manage CI/CD pipelines and other major components of the cloud-based development infrastructure, advocate for and implement security best practices, and create and maintain clear, relevant, and accurate documentation.
