Able to work 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) M-F and overtime as needed
Able to read, understand, and follow documents such as safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and general instructions
Able to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions
Good communication skills, including the ability to give and receive instructions
Responsibilities
Contribute within the framework of a highly functioning team
Manufacture consumer foods that comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Understand and support company and site safety policies; perform work safely; recognize unsafe conditions; coach peers; suggest new safety standards
Operate, maintain, and clean assigned production equipment
Understand, follow, and improve documented operational, maintenance, and sanitation standards in a GMP work environment
Identify and correct equipment defects
Perform cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CIL) activities
Identify and troubleshoot basic machinery and process issues
Learn and perform basic repair and maintenance activities
Perform sanitation activities on a regular basis
Perform equipment changeovers
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc
Create or update documentation as needed (SOPs, Job Aids, CIL Improvements)
Use continuous improvement tools to eliminate losses, drive issues to root cause, document, communicate, and implement corrective and preventative actions
Use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc
Analyze information using principles of math and statistics
Assist in solving problems using analytical troubleshooting, critical thinking, and root cause analysis
Work as part of a team and assist fellow employees as needed
