Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and a technical certification in industrial operations is preferred. Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is desired, along with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential, as is a commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols. The ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently is also required, alongside effective communication and teamwork skills.
As a Plant Operator, you will operate and maintain equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts, to ensure a steady supply of industrial gases. You will perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks, safely handle and transport cylinders, including filling and quality checks, while maintaining compliance with regulations and guidelines. Accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities must be maintained, and collaboration with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment is expected. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures is crucial, along with participation in safety meetings and training sessions.
